Reminders:

  • The "starboard" side of a boat is the "right" side when standing on the ship, facing its bow. The "left" side is "port". (Note: the letter "R" appears twice in the word "staRboaRd", and only once in "port". Since "Right" begins with "r", you know that the right hand side of the boat when facing forward is the starboard side.)

  • It's tasty. It tastes nice.
  • Planting avocado pit:
    • The top of the fruit attached to the tree is the part where the plant will grow. The flat bottom must be planted into the ground and will sprout roots. First wash then peel skin of avocado pit (pick it off like an orange). Next identify its bottom because it is the area from where roots will sprout. This area is a little flattened and also contains a dimple. The flat end of the avocado seed must be facing downward into the glass of water. Don't stick toothpicks into any fault lines. Only half of the pit must be submerged in water. Keep it in water until the tree produces plenty of big, green leaves before re-potting it in soil.
