The executive power is the branch of government that is responsible for the day-to-day management of the state. Under the doctrine of the segregation of powers, the role of this legislature branch is to make laws and decide on what's permitted, but not to interpret {judge their applicability, determine culpability} them (which is left upto the judiciary branch). The executive is supposed to put the laws into action by enforcing order.
