Here are my individual experiences with the car insurance marathon (I checked 2-3 other insurance companies, but they don't accept the SAP letter):

RuV: requires the usual personal and vehicle key data, as well as the standard SAP confirmation of accident-free status, possibly another SAP confirmation of accident-free status by the end date (which may be difficult).

You sign an offer for a SF according to the SAP letter, register your vehicle, and receive the final OK for the SF 6-8 weeks later. Should anything change with the SF -> special right of termination.

Debeka: requires the usual personal and vehicle key data, as well as the standard SAP confirmation of accident-free status. Otherwise, as per RuV.

HUK: As above, plus: proof of company car taxation, plus a copy of the page of the ERP contract on which the company car usage right is defined. An SAP confirmation of SF by the end date (which may be difficult).

You either sign an offer for a very low SF or according to the SAP letter (depending on the agent), register your vehicle with the EVB number, and receive the final approval shortly thereafter. Should anything change regarding the higher SF, you have the right to special termination.

Allianz: requires the usual personal and vehicle key data, as well as the standard SAP confirmation plus a copy of the ERP contract page on which the right to use the company car is defined.

Allianz directly recognizes the SAP letter, and you conclude a contract for the corresponding SF.

So, the requirements are quite different. It also partly depends on who you speak to at the same insurance company.

Significant price differences between insurance companies for identical types of insurance/coverage!

As I wrote, these are just my experiences; I'm happy to share other insights.
