Three pillars of photography

Manual Settings:

1) Aperture = expressed as an F-number {or fraction} eg f/8 or f3.5
2) Shutter Speed = expressed in seconds eg 1/4 s.
3) ISO value {film sensitivity to light} measuring speed setting. A low (base) value can be 100, high is 3200.

See also picture balance and zoom factor.

For videos, shutter speed is irrelevant! But frame rate comes to play instead (eg 60 FPS).
