  • Blog vs. Wiki = Information vs. Knowledge:
    • Blog is normally used to broadcast news or information which is generally time bound & therefore could become irrelevant/superseded. Such information could be one’s view, personal opinion or factual statement which is not expected to be modified by anyone although subscribers might ideally comment on this story or express their value/appreciation of it. Examples include meeting minutes, performance report, sport results, newsletter, product launch or public event announcement where audience feedback is optional. A blog should answer the five Ws:
      • What happened?
      • Who is involved?
      • When did it take place?
      • Where did it take place?
      • Why did it happen?
    • Wiki is normally used to share factual knowledge which is meant to be edited/updated collaboratively & progressively to maintain it current/relevant. Such information is generally time independent and is refined by the team’s on-going experience. Examples include project status, historical event or a static landing page where a group’s contribution is essential.
